NBA 200 ALL-STAR GAME SLAMDUNK CHAMPION

The NBA.com Slam Dunk confirmed what NBA fans knew going in: Vince Carter is the first and last word in electrifying slam dunking in the new millennium. Carter may have displayed his best mind-blowing, aerial dynamics in the first round, but he had more than enough in reserve to beat finalists Steve Francis of Houston and cousin and teammate Tracy McGrady of Toronto when it counted.
Vince Carter
POWER FACTOR
Carter received scores of 50 and 48 for his two final round dunks, giving him a total of 98 and a clear victory over Francis, who scored 91 in the finals, and McGrady, who missed his second final round dunk and totaled 77.Carter joined Michael Jordan and Spud Webb as players who achieved perfect scores on three dunks in one dunk contest. Webb notched three perfect scores in winning the 1986 contest, and Jordan matched him with three unblemished scores in winning the 1988 contest. The night belonged to Carter from the outset. Eager to prove himself a complete player and to distance himself from the Jordan legend, Carter nonetheless walked on rare air in the final contest of a thrilling All-Star Saturday program.
